Full Ammonite Shell, Mosasaur Bitemarks - CGSS3

Full ammonite shell from the Bearpaw Formation of Southern Alberta, with deep blue, teal, green and purple across the shell and red and orange on the outer whorl.

The shell carries bite marks from a mosasaur, a large marine reptile that hunted ammonites in the same ancient sea. Specimens that record an attack like this are a real piece of prehistoric history.

One of a kind.
