The Rainbow Gemstone

Ammolite is an exceptionally rare gemstone formed from the fossilized shells of Placenticeras, ancient marine creatures that lived alongside the dinosaurs over 70 million years ago. Found only in small deposits within the Bearpaw Formation of southern Alberta, Canada, ammolite’s brilliant opal-like play of colour is the result of unique geological conditions found nowhere else on Earth.

Because of these extraordinary conditions, no two pieces are ever alike. Each shell displays its own distinct mosaic of colours, patterns, and natural character, making every gemstone completely unique. Every piece carries its own individuality, ensuring there is one perfectly suited to be treasured for years to come.
