Ammolite is an exceptionally rare and vibrant gemstone formed from the fossilized shells of Placenticeras ammonites—ancient sea creatures that lived alongside dinosaurs over 70 million years ago. Found only in southern Alberta, Canada, ammolite’s brilliant colours are the result of unique geological conditions that exist nowhere else on Earth.
